Plus I Have To Fight The Problems That You Create.

Many peoples’ lives are not as peachy-keen as yours. Some of us actually have real-life problems.

As I continue to sit day after day trying to grasp an understanding of what’s going on in the minds and actions of fellow Americans, I wonder if a change for the better is even possible.

I know some of you don’t have to wake up every day with the problems and issues that we regular ordinary folk wake up to. And the worst part about it is our hands are tied in many instances and all we can do is sit and hope for things to get better. Well, in the midst of our hoping some of us get angrier and angrier as the days pass, and then you add additional problems to our existing problems.

While many in our American society want to keep you lifted as heroes, I am a realist and only lift up and pat those on the back that genuinely deserve it.

I know if you have gotten to this point of my writing you are surely wondering who I’m talking about that creates more problems and doesn’t deserve to be anybody’s hero. Well continue to read and please don’t take any of my cares, concerns, and real-life observations and experiences personally.

I am sorry, but if your career and occupation put you in the groups of what has come to be “Essential or Frontline Workers”, and you personally choose to put yourself first instead of first considering the people that you suppose to serve, then I’m talking about you. If your first reason for serving is for a paycheck, then I’m talking about you.

As of the latest count, approximately 847,000 people in the United States alone have died because of the COVID-19 Pandemic complications. Many of these deaths could have been prevented if we would have considered the health and welfare of our fellow citizens, not just our selfish concerns or feelings.

Whatever category you fall under in reference to essential or frontline workers, you should be looked at as a servant first. A servant worker does what’s best for those that he or she serves on a daily basis.

Even if the people that you serve don’t do what’s necessary for all man-kind to be safe and healthy, you as a servant-worker should do your part to ease the pain of others because you choose to be that person. You choose to be that person because you already know that many people are hurting mentally and physically and don’t need you to add to their problems.

When we come to your job, your place of business, or whatever industry you work in, we should come with the positive attitude that you are looking out for our best interest. We should feel comfortable with the fact that you do what you do because you love to serve people.

Personally speaking, I don’t feel as though many of these (essential frontline workers) care anything about people at all. I feel this way because I see you fighting with others because you too don’t want to do what’s best for the people. When I call your place of employment or business and am asked to leave a detailed message and contact information for you to return my call and I never hear back from you, time and time again. When I come to your place of employment or business and you treat me and others like you are mad at the world and whatever the reason is, it’s our fault. When you choose to make everything political instead of thinking and caring about the people, then you are part of the problem and not the solution.

There is so much more that I’d like to add to this post, but if I add everything in one reading then you’d be more upset because it’s too long to read.

I am writing this post because I want to make you aware of the fact that I and many others are already carrying loads of personal problems and am asking you to please not add to them when you have the opportunity to serve us.

To sum it up, whatever your job, occupation, or profession is, imagine it’s you standing in line waiting, calling a place of business, in need of help or information, imagine it being you and give me the exact same service or better than you expect when it’s you in my position.

You be the change!
